A Haunted House Has a History
The Lockwood Files
Something has been waiting beneath Lake Winnie.
For generations, stories have surrounded the Lockwood family, their funeral home and the unexplained deaths connected to their name.
Now, a collection of old newspaper articles has resurfaced. They tell of a funeral home near Lake Winnie, strange deaths, disturbed graves and a mysterious inscription carved into stone.

More Than 30 Years of Darkness
The recovered newspapers trace the Lockwood family from the aftermath of war to a final night of blood and unanswered questions.
1863
Jedidiah Lockwood appears in reports surrounding the war
and the fighting near Lake Winnie.
1866
The Lockwood family settles near the lake and the Lockwood
Funeral Home opens.
1869
Livestock are found slain and witnesses report something
watching from the woods with glowing green eyes.
1871
Eleven-year-old Booker Smith dies near the Lockwood estate.
Sarah-Jane Lockwood is the only witness.
1871
Days later, Booker's grave is disturbed and marked with the
words SERVIRE MALDRAKE.
1892
Sarah-Jane Lockwood returns to public view after more than
twenty years and marries inside the family funeral home.
1893
One year later, Sarah-Jane and Joseph Rutledge are found dead
on their wedding anniversary.
